Hey guys. I just wanted to check in, and let you know about a new and upcoming project on STC.

While you guys are sending in your letters and waiting for new information on the show’s status, I will be running a segment each week, so you can keep supporting the show. This campaign is called “Reliving the Magic”, where each Thursday night, at the time TSC would usually air, we will be watching a previous episode of TSC. While we watch, we will ask you to check into GetGlue (like you usually would on a Thursday) and try to get it trending in the top 4 shows. Also, we want to try and trend a TSC topic on Twitter worldwide, so the cast, crew and networks can see that we still support the show and are not giving up our fight.

More information will be released in the next few days. I’m so excited to be running this campaign, and I hope you guys will be willing to get on board and relive this amazing show while we wait for feedback from networks and other media sites.

This is my first personal post on this blog, but I thought it was necessary, especially now that we’ve got things kicked off.

I have received a lot of questions over the past two days regarding the likelihood of bringing this show back. It seems that some fans feel the effort we are going to, in the end, won’t be worth it. I might have agreed 3 days ago before the cancellation announcement. I might have agreed immediately after the cancellation news. But then something really incredible happened. 

The Secret Circle fans trended 3 topics worldwide over several hours. Why does this matter? Well, because for the last 4 weeks of the show, just about everyone was telling us that our show had lost it. That there just weren’t enough people watching. That the interest in the show just wasn’t as strong as it was for Supernatural or TVD. Trending worldwide disproved this. We are as strong and we can be just as loud.

I stand behind my assessment that The Secret Circle is not only a quality show, but can gain viewers back. The ratings increase over the last 2 episodes proved that. I also stand by my assessment that maybe The CW network, with 18-49 being their primary demo for determining ad rates, is not the right network for the show. Although there are many older fans who love this show, they are not its primary target and places like MTV and ABC Family would be much better suited for a project like TSC. But at the same time, I also believe there is a place for TSC on The CW network and that we can prove it to them.

Whether we are working to get TSC back on The CW or move it to another network, I have no doubt that what we’ve accomplished in ONLY 2 days is something incredible and that people are noticing. We’ve had 5 articles written about our efforts since it started. Save The Circle grew in over 750 followers in around 36 hours. We have 2 petitions that now have over 10,000 signatures on them, and this was done in ONLY 2 days. We’ve teamed up with a very reputable and trusted TSC fan site @ChanceHarbor and created a campaign website where you can stay updated on our all big endeavors (because there will be plenty).

We can make something incredible happen. We wouldn’t be doing this—I wouldn’t be doing this—if it was for nothing. Andrew’s tweets indicate that he is just as excited about our response as we are. He is supporting our effort. We can’t give up. There is still very much a chance that we can turn this around. I can only hope you’ll stand by us as we try to get our favorite show back on the air.

P.S. For the fans wondering why The CW network hasn’t responded to your mass tweets: 1. It’s the weekend, everybody. Nobody is running that account. 2. If someone does happen to log in over the weekend, they WILL NOT respond via their twitter. They have an entire press department. They will announce any changes the way they announce everything else: through a formal statement, released to the media. TSC was only canceled 2 days ago. This isn’t going to happen over night. Stick with us and we can keep the magic alive.
